NAPLES, FL – Earlier this month, Rev. Fr. Mardiros Chevian and seminarian student Levon Asdourian, from St. Nersess Seminary in New York City, visited the Armenian Church of Southwest Florida (ACSWFL). Fr. Chevian joined with parishioners and led the celebration of the Feast of the Nativity and Theophany. Over 70 parishioners were in attendance at the January 12th service. Long time parishioner Ara Nersesian served as Godfather of the Cross at the Blessing of the Water Ceremony.

The ACSWFL has grown over the last few years as they have a full schedule of events planned this season, as FLArmenians reported last month.

On Sunday, February 16, the ACSWFL is pleased to welcome Rev. Fr. Aren Jebejian who will be celebrating Badarak. The Church annual bake sale will follow.

Rev. Fr. Daniel Findikyan will be with us to celebrate Holy Badarak on Sunday, March 9. The Annual Lenten Luncheon will be held following service.  There is also the possibility of an additional service on April 6th.

The ACSWFL is also planning two social events this season. A Women’s Luncheon/Men’s Stag Luncheon at M Waterfront Grille in Naples will be held on February 11, 2014. Our first Church picnic will be held at the Longshore Lake Clubhouse on March 18. Reservations are required for both social events.

To RSVP or for more information on upcoming activities, please contact ACSWFL Parish Council Chairperson Carole Meghreblian by telephone at (239) 348-3804 or via email at
