Honoring 111 Years of Remembrance: Armenian Genocide Commemoration in South Florida

On Friday, April 24, 2026, the South Florida Armenian American community will come together in solemn remembrance of the 111th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocideโ€”a day to honor the lives of the 1.5 million Holy Martyrs lost in 1915 and to reflect on a history that continues to shape generations.

Hosted at St. David Armenian Apostolic Church in Boca Raton, this meaningful evening invites community members, families, and friends of all backgrounds to unite in remembrance, prayer, and shared purpose.

A Community United in Remembrance

This yearโ€™s commemoration centers on a powerful message:
Honoring Our Past. Strengthening Our Future.

The evening program will include:
A Church Service and Khachkar Prayer, led by St. Mary and St. David Armenian Apostolic Churches.

Poetry readings by Sunday School students, offering heartfelt reflections from the next generation.

A short film exploring the history and enduring legacy of the Armenian people.

Cultural dance performances, celebrating resilience through tradition and expression.

Together, these elements create a deeply moving experience that both honors those lost and reaffirms the strength and continuity of Armenian identity.
