St. Hagop Armenian Church to host Benefit Concert on Beethoven’s 250th Birthday
PINELLAS PARK, FL – On Sunday, October 17th, St. Hagop Armenian Church will present a ‘Benefit Concert’ celebrating Beethoven’s 250th birthday, featuring accomplished recital pianist Haig Yaghoobian.
The program features several of Beethoven’s Kleinigkeitin (“little things”), his dynamic Sonata Pathetique (Op. 13, No. 8), and his Busslied (Song of Repentance), based on a sacred poem by Christian Gellert. Accompanying Yaghoobian will be a very special guest: sensational 8-year-old Leo Chen, who will play a Bagatelle, and Rondo.
The concert will start after Church service (Badarak) at 1:00pm in Shahnasarian Hall, St. Hagop Armenian Church, 7020 90th Ave, Pinellas Park, FL 33782 and will be followed by a champagne reception. Admission is $10 at the door.
