Armenian Church of Southwest Florida Schedule for 2016-17 Season

NAPLES, FL – The Armenian Church of Southwest Florida (ACSWFL) hosted an ‘After Summer Breakfast’ on Wednesday, October 5th at the Original Pancake House in Naples, FL. About 30 of our local parishioners attended the event, and everyone had a delicious breakfast and enjoyed getting together with one another. The ACSWFL also discussed plans for the first Badarak of the season, which will take place on Saturday, November 5th with Rev. Fr. Hovnan Demerjian, pastor of St. Hagop Armenian Church in Pinellas Park, FL.
ACSWFL Badarak services are held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 3901 Davis Blvd., Naples, FL 34104 at 1:30 PM.
Below is the ACSWFL schedule for the 2016-17 season:
- Saturday, November 5, 2015: Badarak and light lunch with Rev. Fr. Hovnan Demerjian;
- Sunday, December 4, 2016: BADARAK CANCELLED;
- Sunday, January 8, 2017: Badarak and Armenian Christmas Dinner with V. Rev. Fr. Daniel Findikyan;
- Sunday, February 12, 2017: Badarak and Bake Sale with Rev. Fr. Garabed Kochakian;
- Sunday, February 26, 2017: Badarak and Poon Paregantan Banquet with Primate of the Armenian Church of America, H.E. Archbishop K. Barsamian;
- Sunday, March 12, 2017: Badarak and Lenten Lunch with Rev. Fr. Krikor Sabounjian.

Armenian Church of Southwest Florida Celebrates 15th Anniversary

On February 21, the Armenian Church of Southwest Florida (ACSWFL) celebrated the Divine Liturgy with over 100 parishioners in attendance. Sub-deacon Jack Dikranian assisted at the altar. Guest organist Louise Yardumian and 12 choir members were present to help mark the special occasion, the 15th Anniversary of the Armenian Church of Southwest Florida, with beautiful music.
The anniversary banquet, hosted by Frank and Susan Stoneson, followed at Vanderbilt Country Club. Guest speakers Oscar Tatosian, former Chairman of the Diocesan Council, Fr. Tateos Abdalian, Carole Meghreblian, Chairperson of the Parish Council, spoke about the history of the ACSWFL. Entertainment was provided by Mrs. Yardumian who played several piano selections.

- Monday, March 7: Bake Sale, Lunch, and FunFest in the Church Hall: 1:00 – 5:00 pm
- Sunday, March 13: Badarak – Rev. Fr. Garabed Kochakian; Annual Lenten Luncheon to follow in Trinity Hall. Advanced reservations only.
All services are held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 3901 Davis Blvd., Naples, Florida at 1:30 pm.

Naples Armenians Gather for ‘Basterma Breakfast’

The 2nd Annual Men’s Basterma Breakfast was held at the home of Sarkis and Nancy Kazarian. A magnificent breakfast featuring a variety of Armenian foods was enjoyed by the 22 men attending. All proceeds were donated to the Armenian Church of Southwest Florida (ACSWFL).
Rev. Fr. Tateos Abdalian, Mission Parish Director will celebrate the Divine Liturgy with parishioners of the Armenian Church of Southwest Florida on Feb. 21st. The service will take place at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 1:30 pm in Naples. Following the service, the 15th Anniversary Banquet will be held at Vanderbilt Country Club in Naples. Advanced reservations only.
