Peter Balakian to Present Poetry Collection at University of South Florida

On Thursday, February 16, the University of South Florida (USF) will host renowned author Peter Balakian for a presentation of his poetry collection “Ozone Journal.”
Peter Balakian has a diverse background in poetry, memoir, translation, history, and international affairs. Among many previous awards, in 2016, Balakian won the Pulitzer Prize for his poetry collection “Ozone Journal” which is praised for its historical depth and meticulously documented detail. The collection is a vivid journey through the personal and the political. Balakian is the Donald M. and Constance H. Rebar Professor of the Humanities in the department of English and Director of Creative Writing at Colgate University.
Florida Armenians encourages members to attend and support this special event. Presented by the USF Humanities Institute, the presentation will be held held at 4202 E Fowler Ave., Tampa, FL 33620, in Building CWY Room 206 at 6:00pm.
