Renowned Armenian-French singer and songwriter Charles Aznavour, 92, has announced a five city tour in North America in October, including a stop in Miami on October 25th.
Named “Entertainer of the Century” by CNN in 1988, Charles Aznavour has a career spanning 70 years, with over 100 million record sales, 1,200 songs, 80 movies, 294 albums, hundreds of gold, platinum, diamond records and thousands of concerts in 94 countries.
According to the Los Angeles Times, “His discovery in 1946 by French singing star Edith Piaf launched his career, during which the singer and songwriter has often been described as the French Frank Sinatra. Songs he’s written include “Yesterday, When I Was Young,” “La Bohème,” “La Mamma” and “What Makes a Man,” compositions that helped earn him induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.”
Aznavour will perform at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County on Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Tickets are available for purchase here.
